Indira Canteen is best

The crowd was so large that canteen staff were finding it hard to keep their calm and serve food. For the breakfast on the opening day, most canteens received more than 200 customers. While most people were happy to be able to buy food at `10, the quality of the service was something many people complained about. That certain essential items were missing from the South Indian meal was a common grouse.

Akaiamma Kumbhar, a sanitation staff, said she missed the quintessential papadum from her lunch.

Some others were not happy with the consistency of the coconut chutney served with the two idlis for `5. They even complained about the size of the idlis. Clearly, best conversations happen over food. And for the cross-section of the crowd that had gathered at the canteens — sanitation workers, blue-collar workers, college students and office goers — it was chatting about politics of food over food that added to the experience.

Gauri Lankesh Shot In Area Covered By CCTV

Ms Lankesh, renowned for speaking her mind, had stepped out of her car around 8 pm and opened the gates when she was shot. One bullet hit her in the forehead. Four bullets missed and hit the wall; those have been found.

The 55-year-old was found dead by neighbours who had first mistaken the gunshots for firecrackers. Some say they heard a two-wheeler around the same time.

The police have retrieved the password-protected digital video recorder from the two CCTVs Ms Lankesh installed for safety outside her home, which is flanked by two vacant plots.

The attackers either followed Ms Lankesh on her way home from work or were hiding nearby, waiting for her to return. The police say they have traced her route home and are trying to get clues from multiple CCTVs on the way.

Now Honeypreet Insan, Ram Rahim's 'Daughter', Wanted By Cops. Airports Alerted
Honeypreet was a constant companion of Ram Rahim right until he was jailed last week.
NEW DELHI:

Honeypreet was seen with the 50-year-old Dera Sacha Sauda chief in court, holding his bags, and she stayed with him as he was flown to a Rohtak jail in a special government chopper.

Reports suggest she also clashed with the jail authorities, demanding to be allowed to stay with the Baba in jail. Ram Rahim claimed that she was an "acupressure specialist" who would help ease his chronic back pain.

The Haryana police have revealed how they stymied an attempt by Ram Rahim's "commandos" to free him.

Soon after he was declared guilty by the court, Ram Rahim demanded a "red bag" that he had brought from Sirsa, the main base of his Dera Sacha Sauda sect.

"The Dera chief demanded the bag, saying his clothes were in it. It was actually a signal for his men to spread the news of his conviction among supporters so that they could resort to causing disturbance," Inspector General of Police KK Rao told reporters.

Ganesh Chadurthy 2017

Ganesh Chaturthi is a ten-day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the elephant-headed God Ganesha's birthday. He is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Ganesha is known by 108 different names and is the Lord of arts and sciences and the deva of wisdom. He is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies as he's considered the God of beginnings. He's widely and dearly referred to as Ganapati or Vinayaka. CCTV in bangalore for Ganesh Chadurthy
There are two different versions about Ganesha's birth. One has it that Goddess Parvati created Ganesha out of dirt off her body while having a bath and set him to guard her door while she finishes her bath. Shiva who has gone out, returned at that time, but as Ganesha didn't know of him, stopped him from entering. An angry Shiva severed the head of Ganesha after a combat between the two. Parvati was enraged and Shiva promised Ganesha will live again. The devas who went in search of a head facing north of a dead person could manage only the head of an elephant. Shiva fixed the elephant's head on the child and brought him back to life.

Learn French Language today

It depends. For me, the choice of a foreign language to learn has a lot to do with the countries where it is spoken and whether I can identify with the culture, or whether I can imagine living in one of the countries where I'd rely on the language. I believe it is important that the style of life in that foreign country resonates with you; this makes it a lot easier to get in touch with the language, with the people, and you'll have fun discovering what makes the language special (e.g. the French subjonctif which neither English nor German has, or the German way to create composite nouns (like Problemlösungskompetenzratgeber).

And what's in it for you, personally? Can you use one of the languages in your job, or use it as an asset in your CV to help you advance in your career? Or is it purely for pleasure? I think what Marc-Olivier Meunier said is quite important: both are world languages, but a lot more people speak French than German.

As for learning the languages, both are not easy to learn. German tends  to be more rational, direct, and logical, while Fernch is more emotional  and subliminal. Both have a lot of exceptions, but I think the German case system and  verbal constructions (English: I go, you go, s/he goes, we go, you go,  they go - German: ich gehe, du gehst, er geht, wir gehen, ihr geht, sie  gehen...) are very hard to learn if you don't actually use the language.

If you want to learn both - what kind of a learner are you? Do you like challenges, or would you rather start with something not too hard? If you like a grammatical challenge, go for German first - knowing that German words are easier to pronounce than French ones, if you are a native English speaker.

Venkaiah Naidu to become 15th Vice President of India

SENIOR BJP leader and former Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu was on Saturday elected the 15th Vice-President of India. His election comes a day after the BJP became the single-largest party in the Rajya Sabha, over which he will now preside as its ex-officio chairperson. “I am very humbled. I am also thankful to the Prime Minister and all party leaders for their support. I will seek to utilise the vice-presidential institution to strengthen the hands of the president and secondly uphold the dignity of the Upper House,” Naidu said after his emphatic victory.

Naidu won 516 of the total 771 votes polled, in the 786-member electoral college. Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the Opposition’s candidate, got 244 votes, while 11 votes were declared invalid. Two BJP members, Vijay Goel and Sanwarlal Jat, could not cast their votes due to illness while party MP Chedi Paswan had been barred by the Supreme Court from voting.
